Haynes International, Inc., is pleased to list the following Safety Data Sheets (SDS), which contain health and safety information. These take precedence and supersede any previous Material Safety Data Sheets you may have for our products, so please update your SDS files accordingly.
The listed SDSs are being supplied to you as part of our continuing efforts to comply with the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910, 1200), GHS (Globally Harmonized System), Title III of the Superfund Amendment and Reauthorization Act of 1986 (SARA) Public Law 99-949, 40 CFR Part 372 Sections 311, 312, and 313. These SDSs are also compliant with state regulated laws with respect to California’s “Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986” (Proposition 65), and Pennsylvania’s “Worker and Community Right to Know Act.”
Safety Data Sheets provide information on a specific group of manufactured metal products. Since these metal products share a common physical nature and constituents, the data presented are applicable to all alloys identified.
These Safety Data Sheets supply information that is valuable to your employee’s safety and health program. It is important that your facilities personnel responsible for hazard communications, industrial hygiene or safety receive this information and that it is communicated and made available to those employees who may have contact with these products.
Section 16 of the SDS lists those sections of the previous MSDS version that were revised in the current SDS. Although many revisions incorporate changes specified by the GHS format, changes in Section 14 reflect new information which indicates certain alloy processes, such as abrasive blasting, may create combustible dust, due to the breakdown of abrasive blasting media or other factors.
