Tolerance Guidelines:
Material tolerances not listed below shall be in accordance with the ASTM, ASME, or AMS specification to which the material was produced and certified.

Haynes International LaPorte (USA)

Minimum width/length:     2”/3”
Minimum cut shape size: 3"
Minimum hole size:          2× thickness with a minimum of 0.125” 
Kerf:                                 Approximately 0.062”

Standard cutting tolerances are as follows:

  • 0.015" to 0.1875" thick:
      - width/length +/-0.030" ≤ 96”           OD/ID + 0.062”/-0 OD & + 0/-0.062” ID
      - width/length +/-0.062” > 96”
  • >0.1875" to 2.0" thick:
      - width/length +/-0.062"                    OD/ID + 0.125”/-0 OD & + 0/-0.125” ID
  • >2.0" thick: +/-0.125"
      - width/length +/-0.125"                    OD/ID + 0.250”/-0 OD & + 0/-0.250” ID
  • Diagonal tolerance is 3/16" maximum on waterjet cut items.
